So, I’m really not one to listen to country music, but I am now in love with the lyrics to the song “Why” by Rascal Flatts.

This morning as I was getting ready for work, my mom told me she had heard a song by Rascal Flatts and that it made her think of me. The song is called “Why” and it talks about someone who committed suicide. My mom told me how the song said something about how the person left the ‘stage’ in the middle of the ‘song.’

And then my mom started to tear up as she told me that the last line of the song was that the person left the stage in the middle of their song. Their “absolutely beautiful song”.

I was so touched to see her tear up. I love her so much.

I’ve had, and still do have times, when I feel like I want to take my own life.
I want to escape from all this.
To get away from life; the world.
To be spared the shedding of tear after tear from feeling so alone, sad, pathetic, helpless, hopeless..

I need to keep reminding myself of this song. All our lives are absolutely beautiful songs.
